School Overview
"My favorite element of the work is witnessing the serious way that students work and learn."
Big Picture Netherlands was born in 2004 when Hanneke te Braake introduced KPC Groep, a Dutch educational consulting firm, to the work of Big Picture Learning. Soon after, she led three large contingencies of Dutch educators to study the learning design of the The Met Center in Providence. By 2006, a formal agreement had been signed between Big Picture Learning and the KPC Groep declaring official partnership.

Presently, Big Picture Netherlands has integrated the Big Picture Learning design in 13 schools across Holland. These schools utilize various parts of the Big Picture design in their curricula in varying degrees, including advisory, learning plans, LTIs, and exhibitions.
