Overview

A team of Big Picture Learning’s best and brightest – including Elliot Washor (co-founder and co-Director), Jill Olson-Crowley (National Director of Conferences & Connections), Andrew Frishman (from Big Picture’s Met Sacramento High School), and Lauren Smock-Randall (BP Learning’s Event Coordinator) – will be travelling to the Netherlands in November to meet and confer with an international audience. These educators and funders are interested in learning about the Big Picture Learning design in order to pursue eventual partnership with Big Picture Learning and Big Picture Netherlands.

The week’s itinerary will include meetings with Big Picture Netherlands’ Board of Directors, training sessions with consultants from the KPC Groep (BP Netherlands’ parent company), school visits in Waalwijk and Sliedrect, and a symposium with national and local stakeholders, Dutch companies, and school board members. The week will also include a European seminar with attendees from Belgium, Brussels, Germany, France, and Holland who are interested in learning deeply about the Big Picture Learning design. The week will culminate with a reunion of the close to five hundred Dutch educators who have visited Big Picture schools in the United States over the past four years.
