School Overview
New Village is a four-year, all-girls, public charter high school with a maximum of 180 students. New Village is committed to small classes with a student-to-faculty ratio of no more than 20 to 1. The New Village campus is safe, recently renovated and well equipped. It is located near Rampart and Beverly Boulevards in downtown Los Angeles.
Each student at New Village has a faculty advisor who remains the same until the student graduates. The student, with her advisor’s guidance, develops an individual learning plan built around her strengths and challenges, interests and occupational goals. The individual learning plan assures that each entering student’s high school work will satisfy the admission requirements of the University of California and other colleges and universities.
Nurtured and treated with genuine respect, New Village students are expected to become self-reliant women through the development of the skills, ambition, and self-confidence necessary to lead productive, successful lives. Our core belief is that all students are gifted, and New Village welcomes girls of all abilities and backgrounds.
