Beth White joins Big Picture Learning as the Vermont Special Design Coach. Prior to her work with Big Picture Learning, Beth worked in a variety of New England schools, including The Met High School in Providence, RI (aka the “mother ship” of the Big Picture Learning Network). Ten years of questions that extended beyond the classroom propelled Beth to pursue a PhD in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at the University of Vermont. Beth holds a Bachelor of Arts in Human Ecology from College of the Atlantic, a Master of Science in Environmental Studies with New Hampshire teaching certificates in biology and earth and space sciences.
Beth shares what it's like to (re)join the BPL team: "The Big Picture Learning team clocks hundreds of hours transforming schooling as we know it. The idea is simple—to structure learning experiences around students’ interests. The byproduct of this work is profound and it’s healing communities. I couldn’t be more thrilled to join this talented team of changemakers to advance personalized learning throughout Vermont and beyond."
