BPL Statement on COVID-19

Like many of you, we have been concerned by the developments around the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) and its larger health and economic impacts. In light of growing concerns, staff at Big Picture Learning national have been considering our response, particularly as we have been approaching the opening of registration for Big Bang amidst the cancellation of several major national conferences. Even though Big Bang is still months away, the health and safety of our staff and participants is and will remain our highest priority.

We remain firmly committed to the idea and power of “Leaving to Learn” and also believe that this presents an important opportunity to give back to other communities in a time of hardship. We know that the situation is quickly evolving, so if guidance changes and we’re unable to host Big Bang in a safe manner we will adjust our plans and keep you informed of those decisions along the way.

So that you can be made aware of where we’ll be drawing our information – besides the use of our best judgment as well as the important feedback we welcome from our network community -- we’ll be paying close attention to the recommendations and requirements that come out of the World Health Organization and Centers for Disease Control, as well as those that come from the Florida Department of Health and Broward County Department of Health.

Please pay close attention to this page, as well as the Big Bang website for updates and continuing details.
