Big Picture Learning has selected the world famous Westin - PeachTree Plaza for this year's Big Bang! Upon its completion in 1976, the PeachTree Plaza was the tallest hotel in the world! We think you'll enjoy the wonderful accommodations, not to mention the amazing panoramic views of the city of Atlanta that can be seen from the 73rd floor!

How do I pay for my hotel?
Well, that depends. If your contract with Big Picture Learning includes the full Big Bang page (registration, travel, lodging), we will be booking lodging on your behalf. If not, in order to make a reservation, you must use a credit card. Nothing is charged to the card at the time of booking. The Westin PeachTree charges a first night's room & tax deposit prior to arrival for room reservations.
If the credit card used to guarantee the room changes, update the card number using the ‘request for change’ link located in your reservation confirmation prior to July 19, 2018 to ensure the deposit is charged to the correct credit card.

You must have a credit card to check-in and the reservation is paid for in full directly to the hotel upon check-out. If you don’t plan to travel with the credit card you intend to use to pay for your reservation you must fill out a credit card authorization form and submit it directly to the hotel. When the hotel receives and processes your reservation (within 3 weeks of the event) you are emailed a new confirmation that includes your confirmation number. When you receive your confirmation number, work directly with the hotel to pre-authorize the credit card for your reservation before arrival.

How do I change or cancel my booking?
Changes and cancellations must be made directly with Big Picture Learning using the ‘request for change’ link in the bottom of your reservation confirmation. Be sure to review all change requests carefully before submitting as you may not be able add canceled nights back to your reservation.
I've called the hotel and they don't have my reservation. Should I panic?

No. The hotel does not receive reservations made with us until 2 weeks prior to the event. When the hotel receives and processes your reservation you receive another reservation confirmation containing your confirmation number.

All changes and cancellations should come through SXSW Housing & Travel until 24 hours before check-in. If you’re within 24 hours of check-in, update your reservation online and call the hotel directly to make sure the hotel receives your changes.

Can I use frequent traveler or rewards points to pay for my hotel reservation?
No. Hotels don’t allow you to book reservations with rewards points during very busy time periods and special events. However, you can usually accrue points for your stay if you belong to your hotel’s frequent guest program. Include your membership number in "Frequent Travel #" field when submitting your online hotel request.
