Carrie is a courageous and innovative educational leader committed to equity and advancement for all students and families. She is skilled in school (re)design, facilitation, professional development, mission-driven practices, and creating relevant, authentic learning experiences for students. She has taught and led in varied educational settings from private schools to public charter schools to district schools. Recently she spent five years as the Principal of a BPL school in Massachusetts, where they captured attention at the state level for their work in student interest driven learning and internships.
She is deeply committed to increasing equitable access to high quality education for all students, and works from a mindset and unwavering belief that relevant, individualized and rigorous learning experiences with students at the center are essential to prepare our young people for the futures they desire and deserve. Her heart sings loudest when she works alongside Principals and school leaders bringing their visions to fruition in their communities.
Beyond Big Picture Carrie loves to spend time with her family (a firefighter, a collegiate varsity feminist, and a fisherman) and on internship days she’s busy at her LTI – their family food truck!
