Christopher is a School Leadership & Innovation Partner who supports schools in New York to enhance their interest-driven, work-based learning programming.
He began his career teaching 5th-grade special education and later moved on to teach middle school English. From there, he joined the district leadership team in East New York, Brooklyn, to coach principals in supporting teacher effectiveness grounded in The Danielson Framework. Christopher was then appointed principal of Legacy School of the Arts, an arts-themed middle school in East New York. As principal, Christopher focused on creating a joy-filled school environment for students and teachers. He implemented an advisory structure, social-emotional learning, and interest-based learning, empowering students to choose their learning track for arts programming and career-focused learning. (Fun Fact: Legacy became a VH1 'Save the Music' featured school and even received a visit from Ed Sheeran.)
Christopher's personal values and mission align seamlessly with Big Picture Learning. He is eager to support BPL's work in New York City and beyond and believes that the work BPL is doing is what kids deserve.
Christopher studied at Buffalo State College and Hunter College. In his free time, he enjoys biking around New York City and traveling to local and distant beaches and mountains. Christopher is a creative with interests in writing, acting, and music.
